*Happy Dance*

A couple of weeks ago, Dee got an email.

An email from a journey that started back in March and came after days and days of creating a written application…

Followed by an in-person interview…

Followed by a ‘Dragons Den’ style presentation…

And 4 months after the process began, Dee was awarded a place on the School for Social Entrepreneurs & Lloyds Bank Social Entrepreneurs Programme.

From 2012- 2017 the Programme has supported over 1,300 social entrepreneurs with a fully funded place on a comprehensive course, a one-to-one business mentor and a grant.

The School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) is a charity that supports people using entrepreneurial approaches to tackle complex social problems. SSE invests in individuals from all backgrounds who have practical ideas for change and supports people to start, sustain, and scale social enterprises, charities and community projects.

Over the course of the next year, Dee will be a part of learning programmes and courses, get advice and support, one-on-one mentoring, have access to grants, be able to build partnerships, and share evidence and insights from other social enterprises.

and THAT is pretty dang exciting!
